Boston (dbTechno) - Researchers from the Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research have reported in a new study that they have found a direct link between weight loss, and long-term success in terms of people being able to control their diabetes. Researchers tracked the weight patterns of over 2,500 patients who were recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

The idea was to track how much weight they had gained and/or lost during a period of time, and then check how it had an impact on the disease. They found that some of them lost no weight at all, while others were able to drop over 20 pounds a few months after they were diagnosed. read on...

Bottom line: A healthy diet is the best way to not only prevent sickness and disease, but often times reverse the damage caused by an unhealthy diet and lifestyle. While Medifast is one option for a balanced diet, it is not the only route to getting back to good health. Daily exercise and avoiding processed foods and soft drinks is certainly important too. So if you want to give yourself the best chance to stay healthy, choose the foods that will provide the proper nutrients that your body needs, instead of those that just taste good.
